Most Colt FX testers will be new to the Rumus2 platform. This thread is the place to ask questions about using the program.

Adding and Subtracting is too much for me. Is there a function\tool that allows you to measure? For example if I wanted the range from a swing low to a swing high I would pick this tool and draw a line from the low wick to the high wick and it would return the number of pips and the number of candles.

Just wondering if it is possible to change the time setting (bottom right-hand corner) to 24Hr (i.e. 1pm = 1300) ?

Hello Charlie,
Unfortunately, it's not possible to change the time setting to 24Hr in Rumus2 but I think you can change it in the settings of your computer because my Rumus2 time settings are 24 hours and there is no such option in Rumus2. Try going to Start/Sttings/Control panel/Date,time, language and regional standarts and change it there. I think it should help.
Good luck!

Thanks Julia, it seems to be working. :)

I am getting to grips with Rumus2.
One immediate problem I found or
rather did not find, is the instrument
name on the chart.
See the default Daily Chart Sheet attached.
Four daily charts and no indication on them
as to which instrument each chart represents.
Any help appreciated.

I feel your pain. It seems that the indicator values "push" the instrument name out of sight.

Right, I see it Charlie. If I maximize each individual
chart window. I can see the instrument name.
Not very convenient at all.

Hi John and Charlie.
I had got used to moving the cursor over the chart to get the instrument details but I have to agree that its not very convenient.
I've been playing around with Rumus today and I manged to get it (see attached zip)!
What you have to do is once you've loaded the levs (or other indicators) onto the pair, you should then delete the pair. This leaves you with the levs for that pair intact. Then reload the same pair onto the levs and you'll get the instrument details at the top of the chart.
I know it's a bit 'round the houses' but it only takes a few seconds and it does the job.
I'll have a word with the Rumus developers and see if there's a more direct method: you never know!

Hello!
I talked to our Rumus2 developers and they told me that unfortunately the option "show instrument, indicator tiltles vertically" is not available now (although it was available in Rumus1) but they have it in their plans, which means it will be available one day.
But now, I suppose, the idea suggested by Dennis is the best one.
Good luck!

Hi!
I was just wondering if Rumus2 has an "undo" option like Microsoft Office Word?
It would make my life so much easier. I keep doing something wrong that I can't seem to fix and then I have to reload my saved workspace.
Thanks

Hi Dennis!
You've said that you display only 24 candles on your charts. How do you do that? Do you drag the horisontal axis or is there another way?
Thank you

Hi once again!
No need to reply to my previous question, I found it. "The slider" Works wonderfully!
Thanks anyway

Hi Talita
Nice to hear from you again. I'm sorry I don't quite understand the question. What kinds of things that you are doing wrong that you'd like to "undo"

If you create a line, in the Properties there is an check box for Calculator.

+ and - can also be used that way if you zoom in too much or not enough you can use - or + to quickly zoom in or out

Hi Dennis!
I was having difficulty dragging the vertical axis, to the point where it would've been easier to just undo what I did and start over.
I've got it sorted out now, I spent some time practising, and it's quite easy once you get the hang of it.
Thanks for all your help

Yes, thank you Charlie.
Using the + and - is really convenient. I learn something new every day.

Yes, I'd be interested in a webinar or two on how to get the most out of rumus

I would greatly appreciate a webinar on how to effectively use the rumus2 software. This is new to me and the software seems very complex.

OK
I will get a webinar sorted out. There will only be ten places and anyone who posts on this thread will have priority.
I could also do with an idea of what people want to cover.
In the meantime make sure you have had a look at the Rumus 2 tutorials (http://www.fxclub.com/rumus/) and work through Forex Primer lessons 4 and 5.
Watch this space for news of the webinar.
